DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Brick Gallery for the solo exhibition of Sedra D’s  Opening: Friday\, April 24th  from 5 pm – 9:00 pm On View until: Tuesday\, April 28th. during normal building hours \n\nPost‑Natural Realms is a solo exhibition exploring the evolving relationship between the organic world and the constructed one\, a space where nature\, culture\, labor\, and memory collide. Through sculpture\, taxidermy‑based assemblages\, murals\, and hybrid forms\, the work reimagines what life becomes after human intervention\, migration\, and survival reshape the body and the land. \nIn this exhibition\, post‑naturalism is not a theory\, it is lived experience. It is the story of growing up between fields and city walls\, between ancestral knowledge and industrial materials\, between the Earth that raised us and the systems that altered it. This is a combination of my work\, forming beings that feel both ancient and futuristic. These figures; guardians\, warriors\, messengers\, exist in the in‑between: part nature\, part artifact\, part spirit. \nThe exhibition draws from Indigenous cosmology\, graffiti culture\, and the landscapes of where I am and where i’ve been. It honors the energy that shaped the artist and the ecosystems that carry their stories. Each work becomes a portal into a world where the natural and the artificial are no longer opposites but collaborators in transformation. \nPost‑Natural Realms invites viewers to consider how bodies\, environments\, and identities adapt\, resist\, and evolve. It asks what we inherit\, what we alter\, and what we choose to protect as we move into a future where nothing is purely natural — yet everything is alive with meaning.

DESCRIPTION: You will learn different methods of applying alcohol inks. Then explore varying techniques to manipulate the inks and their flow. We will work on methods to create different textures. Lastly tips\, tricks and special effects. Artist reception: Thursday\, December 4th. 5 pm – 8 pm  \nStephen’s art will be on view at our Lobby Gallery during December 2025 and January 226 \nStephen Kavanaugh is a multidisciplinary artist based in Omaha\, Nebraska\, working at the intersection of abstraction and figuration. His practice explores how form\, material\, and perception shape emotional and spatial experiences. Each work begins as an investigation—balancing intuition with structure and merging the precision of design with painterly experimentation. \nOver the past decade\, Kavanaugh has exhibited in multiple solo and group shows and completed large-scale murals and installations across Omaha\, including commissions for the Aksarben Village 50th Anniversary of the Omaha Summer Arts Festival and the Facebook Data Center. His work aims to foster connection\, curiosity\, and a renewed awareness of place.
